Any chance Muller could get Ball State job? (he's got strong Indiana ties)

If he's smart he will go be an assistant under a good coach and learn under them. I think he could be a good HC down the road but he needs to be in the back seat learning for awhile. He probably could be making close to the same money as he was and not having the pressure of being a HC.

Missouri State has an opening, as one of their assistants just got the NW state job.

Lansing is rumored to be in the mix for San Diego.

Who cares? This place couldn’t stop talking about him being fired. Now can’t stop talking about him still. I couldn’t care less where he goes next. He checked out and tanked the program. I don’t really even care to hear about him unless it’s honoring his playing days or the 16-17 team.

Beth Goetz is not a nimrod. There's no way she's is going to stick her neck out and hire Dan. Dan does need to go somewhere as an assistant and that program needs to win. With his record the past few years any fanbase (even Ball Sataes} would wig. I'm not sure she could get his contract past a university president right now.

That said I'm probably wrong.

The Muncie paper had an article a week or so ago about possible coaches, and Muller was not listed. They have a couple big names being tossed around - Cuonzo, Crean - and lots of others with Indiana ties, ex-Ball st. and Detroit and Houston HC Ray McCallum, Dane Fife, ex-Green Bay HC and Purdue asst Linc Darner, former Ball St. star Bonzi Wells. That's all newspaper speculation of coursel. Don't see Dan getting a play but you never know.

Dan said in his interview with ValleyHoopsInsider that he doesn't think the HC jobs he would want would be an option for him. I don't think BallS tate would move that needle.

I do see him going the assistant route, probably back to somewhere in the SEC. I'm not sure it'd be on Jans' Staff. LOL. Georgia, maybe? I believe his wife still works at State Farm and they have a hub in ATL.

I highly doubt he'd swallow the pill and take a job on one of his former assistants staff (Mo State, Tenn State, UIC, FIU, etc).

He can afford to sit out a year. However, coaches don’t usually like a lot of idle time.

Dan was on The Score selection Sunday and a couple of times since. He was really pretty good. Obviously, he knows everyone. Maybe he goes the broadcast route. It's a good life if you can swing it.

I had meant to listen but forgot all about it:

Who knows....maybe he decides he wants to stay in BN....With Ludeke retiring, who knows if Mathews will be back....Muller could decide to do color commentary on radio or TV?
