He was already singing our praises after title game with initial prognostications. He knows we have 17 starters coming back, on top of the 4 losses by 8 combined points. So he's been paying attention.

Now we just have to live up to this. Weve certainly survived the portal nonsense very well, despite all the depth coming back. And while we lost our best QB since Roberson, right now, we don't look too concerned. The IPF has/will sure help prepare our offensive skill guys to overcome loss of Annexstad.
I didn't realize EIU was setting up as well as they apparently are for '24. We're getting them at home and have a revenge factor after that 14-13 loss at their place.

We need to leave Iowa City without any significant injuries. If we can just hold our own in the trenches against those guys, I'll be very happy.

Then there's that big red circle around Sept 28th. I hate losing to NDSU worse than I hate losing to Bradley. Time for that shit to end. :)

Ok, so I am about 80% into my homemade old fashioned .. a double, so buyer beware ... but given peeps like Haley noticing a 6-5 team who didn't even make playoffs. Combined with how well we did with April portal despite our depth chart ... meaning, players are already buying in, or some would be gone. Not to mention, the brand new, climate controlled IPF.

Conclusion ... i.e. the Redbird "Prognosis" .... is Positive. And IMHO ... Haley's #14 pre-pre-season ranking, seems like a "safe bet". So ... between the April Portal indications AND Haleys progistications AND my old fashioned (double) kicking in ... #14 ranking really seems like a safe bet.

Only real question is at QB .... "Where my pie ?"

1. Tom Rittenhouse
2. Jake Rubley

or

In Spack's tenure, I have NEVER said this since the 3 guys he inherited in 2009. Other than Roberson/Kolbe .. sort of. Roberson played injured in 2015, and Kolbe was an unknown, but interesting prospect,

So .... Frisco anyone ?
