Tournament starts next week. ISU is hosting a 1A and 4A super-sectional on March 4th.

The 4A game could include the following teams/recruits:
2024 Braylon Roman (Normal Community)
2024 Noah Cleveland (Normal Community)
2025 Nick Allen (Bradley-Bourbonnais)
2025 Bradley Longcor III (Quincy)

Currently do not have any offers out to Benet Academy, Bolingbrook, Downers Grove North, or Waubonsie Valley. Would be a great opportunity to scout though. The State Finals will unfortunately coincide with our MVC Championship run :)

Not directed at your post really, but I look forward so much to the IHSA tournament. Have lived in Wisconsin for 40 years, have printed or written out the IHSA brackets damn near every one of those years (a tradition I started at ISU when WJBC printed out a bracket), depending on the advances in technology, tracked the scores one way or the other, etc, So glad they went back to Assembly Hall for the finals, that's the way it should be. There's nothing like March Madness!! I graduated from Evergreen Park HS (we were never very good in hoops), this year we host a regional, and first game is vs. Morgan Park HS, where I went freshman year. Wish I could be there.

Saw a few dandy sectionals and super-sectionals in my days in Blo-No at Horton. Again, wish I could be there.

Quincy is also in the Pekin sectional and has Bradley Longcor, a 2025 that has an ISU offer

Quincy and Normal Community would be a great Super sectional game

Good catch - for some reason I just assumed Quincy was 3A. Quincy and Normal Community would face off in the Pekin Sectional Championship. That would be fun.

I remember watching Kyle Cartmill (Quincy) in the super sectionals at Redbird Arena.

And see, I grew up watching it in Peoria. I went to a few of the Peoria Manual championship games. What an atmosphere. Also my high school took two trips to the state finals in Peoria and never in Champaign. :D

I too closely follow IHSA and especially March madness. Agree Assembly Hall is a more exciting local. I stopped going to finals once they moved to Peoria.

Bradley-Bourbonnais was eliminated by Moline in the regional finals.

Normal Community and Quincy will face off in a huge Sectional Championship game this Friday in Pekin.

Haven't paid attention - Beecher went down? I mean, I see they did. But, wow, Beecher went down!

58-38 final. Palatine had no answer for the Ironmen’s size. Webber was a beast inside 15/12 + 6 blocks. Roman had 19 points.

Not a good game for Webber. Had only 2 points Roman 18 pts 7 rbs 3 asst
Cleveland 13 pts 11 reb
They had a good game plan to shut down Jaheem. Packed it in with a Zone and said have your guards beat us. NCHS didn't shoot it well, thus the result. A lot like some this year's Redbird losses.
