Boy, I am going to suggest we try to hire Metamora High School head basketball coach Danny Grieves to be our offensive Coordinator. His teams run a wonderful flowing pass and cutting offense that wears teams down.
A small town Central Illinois Team that regularly beats Chicago powerhouse programs.
He is “retiring” this year, but I think he could make a big difference. Anything would help.

Said it before BUT, “ This is Redbird Basketball”. Or what it has become. We have a couple pretty good guys down low, not Hank and Rick but decent. We have other decent role players, but we desperately need a couple guys that can score at will. How many times in the last seven years has a gunslinger came into Redbird and just out shot us? Hard to get, I get that, but ISU needs a scorer.

Not just down the stretch - more like the whole game. You shoot 0-12 from three point land and have no perimeter defense, while allowing the other team to shoot 53% from 3 and 53% from the floor you will not win any games that way. Poor FT shooting again. Embarrassing. Kiev contributes absolutely nothing again and attempts another three pointer. Something has got to give here and soon. On the plus side, few turnovers and out rebounded SIU. If we shoot even moderately well that game was there for the taking. But did not again. Really disappointing giving up a home win.

Basic basketball 101. Hit free throws, team was 9-15 (60%), point guard Banks 1-5 (20%) and he shooting 60% on FT for the year. The team shot 3-18 (16.7) on 3 pointers for the game and for the year (29%). We need to continue go to our strengths, which seems to be getting the ball in the paint.
