Excellent! I was afraid to go another year without my Quincy fix!
The “secret scrimmage” happens tomorrow against UIC
Sadly though, Valpo has beaten like 7 straight? At least 5, that’s tough to swallowValpo lost to D2 Ashland University and it really wasn’t that close. Ashland controlled it basically the whole way. Lottich might be the only coach in the league that is as bad if not worse than Muller.

.....and Muller has dropped 7 of the the last 8 against the mighty beacons.Lottich might be the only coach in the league that is as bad if not worse than Muller.
Nobody ever hear anything?Appears to have been very secret as there has been nothing out about it. Sometimes there are some leaks.
Not good.Nobody ever hear anything?
Pumped to go to the game tomorrow after reading that articleNot good.

Kind of depressing reading that. Sounds way too familiar from Dan talking after so many losses. Not good.

When I really didn't hear anything coming out from the UIC scrimmage, I figured it was a "no news is bad news" kind of situation. When they scheduled this scrimmage, I was disappointed because I felt like this is could've been a regular season game, Muller vs Yak. I know scheduling and getting dates and everything to work out is a challenge, but it just felt kind of lazy to me. A lot of other teams around the country use these scrimmages to really challenge their teams. I think Bradley went up to Iowa this year? I think that might have been what ISU did last year. I also believe there was opportunity for this to be a regular season game but Coach maybe took a look at what Yak had going on and thought, "maybe it's a bad look if one of my former assistants takes it to us when I've been a HC 10 times as long." Not to say Yak is going to have a great team this year, but he'll get his boys going eventually. Not good.

Yep ... hopefully you could feel the sarcasm in my postKind of depressing reading that. Sounds way too familiar from Dan talking after so many losses.

I think at this point it is a 100% fair question for a reporter to ask Muller, "You talk a lot about struggling to get players to buy-in. Ultimately, you recruit these players, and build your team. What do you think the issue is with getting players to buy-in over the last 4 seasons?" A tough question just needs to be asked in a way where he can't put the blame on the players. I've listened to a lot of Muller's press conferences over the years and local reporters really seem to struggle with the "follow up questions." Like mentioned above, it's Muller's team. He is paid handsomely and decides what players they offer to put the team together. He's responsible for the buy-in. Some pressure needs to be put on the coach in two (but probably 3) ways; that is from reporters asking the right questions and hopefully the administration to get this thing turned around. The third would be from the fans.
We all know attendance will be down this year, for sure. There is no hype around the team and really no reason there should be unless they prove the naysayers wrong. For me, I'll be going to the game tonight and buying two tickets. No season tickets or donation from me this year. Doing a cost-analysis, even the cheapest tickets are more expensive than just having access to nearly every game on ESPN3/+. I'm still a Redbird fan and always will be, so I'll follow the team. But it will just mostly be from my living room 10 minutes away from Redbird Arena. If they surprise us, maybe a trip to STL in March, but we'll see.
