If the weather forecast is accurate running the ball is the primary option. Going to be hard to pass in those conditions. A wet and cold field is probably not a good thing for Wenkers either if he is healthy enough to go today. Wet cold and rainy is the type of game where the line of scrimmage many times will determine the winner. Let's hope for a big day for the O & D lines today. Shut down the Penguin's running game and open holes for the Birds running backs. Then avoid mistakes and turnovers on a wet day. We could use a few forced turnovers this game from the D. My guess is it will be a sparse crowd at Hancock. Those of you that are in the stands cheer loud! Go Redbirds! For shits and giggles, I watched the NDSU-YSU game. NDSU ran the hell out of the ball. They ate a ton of clock and kept their defense off the field. And when their run didn't work they ran it some more. I looked at the stats and it was a 46 to18 run/pass ratio. That's the ticket. Run the skin of the pig, stop the run, pressure the quarterback. The end.
