They also got former Bloomington High sharp shooter, Colton Sandage. Sandage was originally committed to UT-Arlington before he tore his ACL during football season his senior year. He ended up going to Vincennes JUCO and winning a national title. WIU seems to have a really good class coming in and might be worth scheduling here in a couple of years.

They're giving Nick Irvin a lot of credit, and probably deserved, but HC Rob Jeter is a good man, has been around (Wisconsin, UW-Milwaukee HC, UNLV and Minnesota), and I bet is gonna do a decent job at WIU. Was sent packing at UW-Milwaukee after a 20 win season, didn't get along with AD.

Didn't we have an Irvin as an assistant coach at some point? I vaguely remember the promises of enhanced CPL recruiting that never really panned out.

Lance Irvin, HC at Chicago St., stayed for only a year in 02-03, on Tom Richardson's staff the last year. He went to Texas A&M. So, no chance to get that recruiting happening.
