This tourney could prove to be highly entertaining. I believe three teams...Drake, Belmont and it sucks to bu have the inside track to cut down the nets on Sunday. The next level might be Indy St and Murray St., but nothing after that. I'm going with Belmont. They have the horses to make the run. Drake is a close second as they are really old (average age is 28, jk) and look pretty complete. It sucks to bu is the favorite going in as they beat Drake yesterday at the ice rink but their guard play is so-so and they aren't very good at the charity stripe. This is an issue that could come back to haunt them.

Also, does the Valley get a 12 seed or a 13 or even a 14 seed? Remember we have to make room for the 9th place team in one of the larger conferences.

Thoughts?

I think we see Bradley / Drake again. Winner gets a 12. Lunardi has Drake slotted at 12 right now and Bradley’s NET is higher.

I feel pretty confident that Bradley or Drake wins this. If I was naming a darkhorse, it would probably be Indiana State. That 4/5 game with Belmont will be a great game. Also think 12 seed if its Bradley or Drake.

I can see Bradley or Drake winning this weekend and getting a 12 or 13 seed only to be paired up with Gonzaga.

I think Drake and Indiana State have the best shot. I hope fradley blue hairs show up in force on Friday so I can collect oh so many of their tears when the Birds knock them off.

Winner NCAA . Well not a playing into the tournament this year. That is a good thing. Loser will be in the CBT. Not bad. Drake and Bradley. Bradley would have a slim change of the nit tho. Drake dances and find out the confidence they are moving to after that.

Bradley has an automatic bid to the NIT, so they probably feel good about their slim chance there.

I'd probably read up on the NIT selection criteria. You might learn something.

I know that Bradley just beat Drake but I am going with Drake on a nuetral site and because of their experience. Admittedly it could be that I want Bradley to lose more than anything. It could be a very long weekend in St Louis listening to the Brave fans mouths running amuck.

I thought I’d hear more Belmont love. Drake has an easier route to Sunday and Belmont could give bu the heave ho. I’d be alright with a Drake v Belmont final. That is as long as we aren’t there. Dare to dream.

Other than ISU, I will be rooting for a Belmont vs Drake final. Belmont swept PU during the season and I am hoping they send them to the NIT much like ISU did in 1982. We were big underdogs in that game and won in double OT.

Absolutely incredible game! I believe that was the last game at their fieldhouse. Me and a bunch of us went to Horton to welcome the bus that evening after the win and we weren't the only ones in attendance. That was a fantastic night.

On a side note, b o did make the NIT and ran the table by winning all their games on the road. The War on 74 was just that...a battle.
