At times yes, but his throws were terrible. His decision making was terrible all game.
On another note, if Elkey is the best QB we face all year then the MVFC sucks. He was average at best.
I am not sure we can guage the rest of the season off these first two games. This game was beyond bad. After we went down 21 I felt the coaches just wanted out and to move on. Both of our lines were destroyed, on every play. My question is when do we move to 14?
I am a huge fan of Evan Day but today was not his best. Not sure why but it was rough to watch live. Maybe it was just great scheme from the WMU coaches and or speed he couldn't match.
It is nice to see the haters out tonight after a loss. What's up guys!! One loss does not make this program mediocre.

I believe 5 is the best option for us.
Jefferson keeps plays alive with his legs, I don’t believe Waring can do that. Jefferson can hit the deep ball, I don’t believe Waring can do that. Does Jefferson make bad throws on the run? Yes. You know how you fix that? Find an offensive line that actually wants to keep their QBs jersey clean. I remember when o linemen took it personal that their QB had keep getting up off the turf.
However, if everyone truly thinks Waring is a better QB and can judge talent better than our coaching staff. Maybe we will see some of you at the helm breaking records soon!
I for one am routing for Jefferson to prove a lot of you wrong. I think if the kid had some help he would be able to produce.

At times? As in the entirety of the game? The offensive line was dominated from the first snap. Your QB can only do so much while he is having to dodge D linemen anLBs.
Maybe they should get a O'line that can give the QB more than 1 second before line collapse. 2 . Get a OC that can call a strategic series of offensive plays ! Last year they utilize the TE . Now they get 1 big play from a jet sweep. Then go back to running ball up middle. Why not go back to the well fake sweep throw to TE or throw to the sweep guy or roll qb giving him the option to run or pass down the field. Let the QB Also utilize the right receivers TE in certain yard situation. Seeing 3/4 receivers with same speed levels with no separation ridiculous. 4 big WR running 15-20 yards down the field lol how long does that take for them to get open etc in routes. U got to shorten routes or have right personnel to excute the plays. WM DB's man handle those receivers. Hell I rather see Casper R. & Carr at WR in certain situations if the bigger receiver can't get open. When Brown/White/Muller can't move the ball in single set backfield with mediocre blocking. Use your FB and have him block for them and give the FB a few times. Also utilize Kevin Brown more ! Blame the play calling !
Yes ! When you O'line can't give the QB 2 seconds to go through reads !
