This morning I got up and made a cup of coffee like I always do. Only did one thing wrong. I forgot a cup. 16oz all over the counter. I had left a kitchen towel on the counter. It soaked up every drop! Birds 32 Necks 14.
This morning I got up. Winning!

Marquee has got to happy to have ISU tv doing this game. Closeups of officials backs, wind in the mics…🤦

Come on, WIU has only been closer than 20 points in one conference game all year. We may be short handed but they are awful…

so we have 7 (not 4) and 2 timeouts and we go for a 48 yarder instead of trying to get 2-3 more yards and perhaps come up with the distance wagner was short? regardless very questionable call

TE Bryson Deming made some sure-handed grabs. West made some good plays on defense. Zeke was magnificent. The radio announcers said that we had to make some adjustments to stop their run and Zeke was a big part of that. His move to the QB is nearly unstoppable.

Offensively we're going to have to improve across the board. You can't look at that game and feel like we're on the right track. It will help a lot to get players healthy, but there are positions that could use an immediate infusion of new talent. That will be another post.

Yesterday Rittenhouse provided just enough for us to win. He's an exciting player.

"You are what your record say you are" - ours says 6-5

So, it's interesting, NDSU and SDSU of course are seeded in the playoffs. 7-4 N.Dakota made it, but 7-4 YSU didn't. Couple 7-4 teams from other conferences got in. So, even if we'd beat YSU, we may not have gotten the call.

Both Mo. State and SIU finished with losing records. Think ISU nation is disappointed? Gotta figger those folks are really unhappy, weren't both ranked at some point this year? Fire Petrino, fire Hill. ;)

I think the MoState fans got carried away. I never thought that team was as good as predicted in the pre-season. I think they finished about where I thought they would. Could be my Petrino bias though...I really despise that guy. SIU to me was the bigger surprise and I would expect their fans are very unhappy. I think they underperformed.

I never thought we would get a bid at 7-4 so I am not disappointed there. We did not have that signature win. Even if we had beaten SIU as the season worked out that would not have been that impressive.

I am not that disappointed by the record. I think my preseason prediction was right about 7-4 or 6-5. I don't remember now. I was disappointed in the way the team played as I highlighted elsewhere. I was disappointed in the coaching. There is just a kind of blah feeling for me.

The brackets are in and the playoffs are set. I think I may drive up and watch the Richmond Spiders play Davidson. Playoff football is always fun.
