Weird, Ironic Coincidence

Noticed in the NIU box score, one of the refs was Barb Smith. Doesn't appear to be "that" Barb Smith. But still kinda weird and ironic.

Nice win by the Bird Ladies, Coach still seems to kind of keep a short bench, but seems like they've learned to win a close one anyway.

I don't know many coaches who would ever want to ref. I'm sure there are exceptions.

Sounds like they were up big after 1Q and then kind of held on over 3Q. Got a steal at the end to ice the game.

I felt they kinda had a let down after the big U of I win. Very sloppy with the ball, luckily Northern was just as sloppy.
It's good when you win playing bad...

Barb Smith....I google her once in a while to see if anything changes for her "resume" and not much has changed.

FYI about Huskies history with the Redbirds....in 2016 NIU defeated ISU 108?-66 and Huskies also won the 3 previous years. They did not have any games against the UofI during that time.
