Looking at minutes played in the last few games, it seems Mal, Luke and Darius are over 30 minutes regularly. As this continues, and given how hard they need to play, I wonder if some of last night was due to tired legs. Have not watched last nights game, so would like some others perspective on the minutes played issue.

On another note, watching Bradley play many times this season, a few items to consider to stay with them come to mind:
Double team Mast as soon as he receives the ball. He is a decent passer, but I would rather take a chance on others shooting than Mast. He is just too good inside.
Get Duke Dean on a switch and have the screener take him into the paint. You’ll either get a good look or get fouled. Get him in foul trouble early. His back up, Weathers plays fast and doesn’t shoot well.
Get Mal open for a lot of 3 point shots. Though Bradley plays very good defense, they get lazy on defending the three point line later into the shot clock. Belmont beat them twice doing this.
Bradley plays physical similar to Mo State. Get them to foul you inside and let’s get in the bonus as quickly as possible. We won’t be able to match them bucket for bucket. We need to have a large difference in made free throws to have a chance.
If we can get Dean out, they like to put Hickman at the point(If Weathers does not play well). He has not scored much when he plays point.
Don’t let Darius Hannah go left!!!
Finally, match their physicality on the boards as much as possible.

With all that said they will come out pissed off at their loss to Belmont and will look to demolish the Birds early. Need to do something we have not done well…… play from the opening tip!!
Zero players on Illinois State are in the top 15 in minutes played in MVC games.

What is realistic? This program hasn't been to the NCAA for 25 years.
Realistically then we know Rome wasn’t built overnight. I understand the frustration but the key is to see what Pedon is trying to get done. I’d place my bets on next year this team will be top half and the following year to compete for the league title. Although that could possibly Ly happen next season as well. Commitment by players in the offseason can’t be overlooked either.

I don't think that is correct. Thru 10 MVC games Malachi is 12th in minutes played at nearly 34 minutes (33.85) per game. 339 total minutes.

Pedon and his staff need to start recruiting at a much higher level for that to happen. This is a CCIW roster trying to compete in a solid, but not spectacular, D1 conference.

Recruiting will play a big part in it. No doubt I do believe Pedon will get that done. I also will say there are some very good pieces that will come back. I am still seeing it as two solid Biggs and one through point guard away from a big leap next year.

"I was disgusted by how we ended the first half" - Pedon

Or close to that. I got interrupted while writing this but he used the word disgusted. Probably the strongest I've heard him speak out about the team. He was asked about individuals and wouldn't throw any one under the bus.

I feel like we had this issue under muller too, where he just could not get the players to buy in. I know it's early to start saying Pedon isn't getting buy in....but minor red flag in my mind. Makes me raise an eyebrow for sure.

Muller should have been recruiting the classes in Illinois. He should have been in Cole Certa’s living room early on. I watch the kid play in 7th grade and knew he was going to be good. He was shooting lights outs then. We don’t have the luxury of winning a recruiting battle with the past 5 years results. We need to build this program from ground up. I’m hoping Pedon has a gift of developing players and friendships.
I remember when Bruce Weber offered a young phenom named Jereme Richmond a scholarship in 8th grade. That worked out well for both.
