Speaking of USC. How in the hell did Texas think firing Tom Herman for that Trojan screw up (Sarkisian) was a good idea?

Sarkisian got his life together. A lot of that was off the field issues

But Herman had that program rolling. I think he was 4-0 in bowl games.
There must be more to that story than we’re privy to.

If he does not make the playoffs quick, Sarkisian will be gone just as fast, or faster, than Herman. Texas has maybe unrealistic expectations and little patience. Any coach there will have a short window for big-time success.
