3 top 10 teams all on the road ... yeesh !!! And we played at SDSU last year to boot. Though had NDSU and UNI at home, so that's fine.

On the other hand you have teams that complain when they play a soft schedule and get left out come playoff time. I say buckle up the chin strap and win the damn game.

They just plugged and played the gaps created by Indiana State. The only two conference schools we were not initially supposed to play were South Dakota State and Youngstown State. We were scheduled to play the Sycamores in Terre Haute, and the Trees were supposed to go to Brookings and host the Penguins - we were short a road and the Jackrabbits were short a home. Wish it were Youngstown that needed the home game.

I don't like the schedule for the Redbirds anymore than all the folks here but I got it ... redoing the schedule on the fly with ISU-B dropping out last minute was going to create schedule nightmares. I don't blame MVFC, I blame ISU-B. They should have made this call a very long time ago. Extremely poor management in my opinion by the ISU-B Athletic Department. I agree with RedbirdFan though, pad up, buckle up and play! Nobody will be able to say the Birds had a soft schedule.
