Neither Carr nor Wroten played much at Duke, but Duke won 9 games last year and they scored 30 or more points 9 times. The Redbirds scored 30 or more points once. Duke also plays a tougher schedule, so it is possible that they had reserve O-Linemen that were as good or better than our starters. That premise will be put to the test in August.
The glass is half full!!!!!

If Duke was so good, you'd think they'd have time to put in the back up O Line here or there. ;)

I just think we need to have realistic expectations about what to expect. We're not getting experienced, "regular" players from a P5.

Wroten has better size than Carr but from what has been written it is not clear what position Carr will play. More competition on the O-line and that is a good thing. I thought improvement on the O-line was needed and they have brought in some players to increase the competition level. It will be interesting to watch the battles for the starting slots.

The Prophet TR strikes again.

Surprising for me .. I had high hopes for Nigel at RB/Flanker position.

Cornerback is a tough position to transition into, no matter how good an athlete Nigel or anyone may be .. I wish him well.

Cpac had it first, but adding here as well

I hope one of the things we're getting with a 6'3 315 lb. guard is someone that can help us out in short yardage situations. We used to be a good 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 team. We haven't had that the last couple of years. In fact, I'm not sure that we've been a good short yardage team since JRob left.
I like the QB sneak when you just need a yard but that still takes a little bit of a line surge. Maybe Wroten can do that for us.
