Missouri Valley needs to decide what tv network it is going to be on. I get Ballys, Apple+, YouTube, Hulu, Major League Baseball but not CBS sports. Too many channels too many subscriptions, etc. Guess I will watch videos on YouTube tonight.

Sorry for the rant, but average fan doesn’t stand a chance.

Hear the same complaint from old timers in CU Illini land....Big Ten Channel, ESPN, Fox, etc. That just the way it is with all the sport channels and broadcast contracts.

Guess I should not complain years ago we rarely were on TV. I also get fox sports, big 10, SEC, etc. signed up for ESPN plus, but now I got to get another channel. Cardinal fans complain, but I think I have them and the Blues covered. ISU needs to get real good so wife doesn’t ask how much it all costs. Luckily I pay the bills

Remember back in the day when we had to pay $10 to subscribe to Tree Vision if we wanted to watch the Birds get rolled in Terre Haute? And I say “watch” charitably, as the camera was pointing away from the action half the time.

I hate Arch Madness being on three different channels on consecutive days, but at least we kept the championship on CBS at our traditional Sunday time slot.

I remember when you had to find the MVC game-of-the-week on whatever local channel picked up the syndicated feed from something like Creative Sports Marketing, Raycom Sports or TVS Television Network (TVS). Who knows if it will not come full circle with the Regional Sports Networks hemorrhaging dollars.

That Sunday time slot is good, up until the 12 p.m. game goes into 2OT.

In 2008 I think we were up 9-2 by the time the Kentucky game ended and they joined ours. We proceeded to get outscored 77-40 by Drake the rest of the way. Maybe Kentucky should have gone a few more OTs…

30 years ago, I moved out of state. No internet, too far away for radio. Had to rely on watching bottom scroll on ESPN for score updates

Almost every single game has been on ESPN+ for multiple years. That’s on you.
ESPN+ blacks out local games when they are on Valley TV - aka Bally Midwest and Marquee. But we were not good this year, so this was rarely an issue.

If/when we return to Valley relevance we’ll have to pony up for CBSSN, Marquee and the occasional ESPNU game.

Are they waiting for Memphis/Houston to end before starting Drake-Bradley? Not seeing a score on espn.com yet even though it lists a 1 PM tip.

The 11 AM CBS game is always close and goes way over two hours, I swear…

Wondering since game is starting 20 minutes late does CBS leave the game for the Big 10 game in the second half. CBS figuring 2 hours for a game is about 30 minutes short. Especially if you are a valley fan not from the “local” coverage area. I understand the valley getting national exposure but I still would like to see the entire game. I still remember when CBS left the valley championship game before the end to cover a really nothing at stake big 10 game. I would either get a better deal or just stay with the regional deal. May not be a popular opinion, but I also believe a few blow outs on the national stage sealed the fate of a team or two not making the dance. I also think the valley would benefit more by playing on selection weekend not the weekend before. Gives the talking heads a whole week to come up with every reason not to put a second team in the tournament. I would trade the national tv deal to play next weekend. And if STL cannot accommodate Nashville maybe would. That would be a party.

Back when I would set the vcr to tape the three potential games we could play in it was three different channels then too. I was out of state most of this season and it was nice to be able to watch every game live with streaming.

If you have YouTube TV (like I do) then you get CBS Sports Network my man. You could have watched the games.

Were we on CBSSN more than once this year? Or at all? It seemed to me that half our games were on ESPN+ and the others were split between Marquee and NBCSportsChicago (formerly ComcastSportsNet). Not to pile onto the the gripes (I agree, too many channels, which is an ironic complaint because for years we were all wishing we were on TV more), but to me an equally big or bigger issue is the production quality. CSN/NBCSC has always been kinda blah, but at least it's consistent. Marquee is awful though. Remember football season? Good Lord. SQ, terrible sound, 1990's graphics. I get they're just picking up a feed but who actually does the production work? It's not a good look for the school or the Valley in general. Most games look like HS sophomore film from 1996.

Yes, but your Unabomber Shack remodel was selected for HGTV’s “Tiny House, Big Living.” So there’s that.
