Just took a cruise through the rosters for the Northwoods League rosters. NWL is almost surely the top summer wood bat collegiate league in the Midwest, and in the top 10 in the country. I don't see any Redbirds on any of the 22 teams. 22 teams, at least 20 spots per team, that's 400 players. I don't get it. Where are our guys playing summer ball? I know we had a rough year, but for most of the past many years, ISU has had several guys playing in the NWL each year. Owen Miller just got called up, he was one. Paul Dejong. Anyone know what up? Our staff have better connections to other leagues?

With MLB being a part of the Appalachian and MLB Draft leagues, are kids looking there first?

There are a lot of college summer leagues out there ~ Cape Cod, Northwoods, Prospect (former CICL). The list is long.

well, there are a lot of leagues out there, but not many as good as the Northwoods, and ISU guys have had a presence in the NWL for quite a while. Just wondering where they're all at. Hoping they're somewhere decent. Hopefully something will be posted on the AD site soon.

Taylor has pitched twice. He has an ERA of 9.00 right now.
