Not thrilled but I guess its better than nothing. I don't see more than 6 games if you want to come back in August to prepare for a full fall schedule '21.
You would be going from too little to too much.

Best choice from a bad set of alternatives?

Yep, I think so. Ironic, I just got done telling my boss the same thing today. He keeps saying he does not want to hear problems, only solutions. I told him that sometimes there are just no solutions ... there are only the best choices out of a bunch of bad choices. I think that is where fall sports are right now. I just wish they made this call before the Birds started fall camp.

Maybe since they let camps start the least bad choice is conf-only. I'm happy I'm not sitting in the big chair for this decision. At this point, you have to follow the CAA/Big Sky herd I guess.

Wait.............what about non-conference for the Fall? Eastern & Dixie State(they could change the date as most of their games are canceled).
Then Schedule a money game with FBS? This would be good for the players/coaches/schools.
And Fans.......

It's official

I guess we'll get a lot of football in '21. Can't wait.
I'm curious why you think they will be able to play football in the spring? There will not likely be a viable vaccine by then. I'm not sure what people think will be different

They know what the situation is right now (well, they really have known for months but could not decide). Maybe it will be better in the spring and maybe not. I would not bet the farm they play in the spring either. No harm though in planning a spring schedule and then see what happens. They can always cancel the spring season as well. I would rather see them do this than just say no football or fall sports in 2020/2021 school year at all. On the bright side of things if the spring season goes the second half of the season should be with fairly decent weather. The glass is always half full if you look hard enough!

Yeah, under the circumstances, makes sense to delay and plan for spring in the best case scenario. Maybe there's a vaccine, maybe there's more and better and faster testing, maybe guys catch it and get immunity in the meantime. We/they learn more about this pandemic business every day, who knows how far along things will be.

By the way, did anyone else notice Spack's comment in the Panty the other day about freshman RB from Wisconsin Rashard Lampkin? Said something to the effect "he'll be hard to keep off the field". RB reinforcements on the way!!

MAC has shut down football.

with the possible exception of Liberty, who managed to keep three guarantee power-5 games (at North Carolina State, at Syracuse, at Virginia Tech), it is going to be a tough go

currently, the only non-conference (on their current schedule) opponent Kansas could still play at home is Southern Illinois ... does the Salukis still make the trip for the coin?
