Granted not hoops related but look for ISU to become a AAA team and consistently lose its top talent each year to the big schools who can just sit and cherry pick without having to lift a finger.
Huge loss for softball team
I know where you're coming from, but you know, Fla State has transfers from Tennessee, Louisville and Tulsa on their roster. You're not gonna say they are AAA and consistently going to lose talent each year, are you? People move on, it's a damn drag Mack Leonard is moving on, but someone at Fla State is out of a spot and going to be looking. Kofi Coborn is looking, are you saying UIUC is AAA?

This transfer business sucks, but I believe/hope it will shake out in a couple years and things won't be as chaotic.

Also, Day is playing extra year at Oklahoma State. Believe her boyfriend plays football there.

Mid Majors will be the new JUCO - why not sit back and see who overperforms at Mid-Major level and then invite them to come on board and play with the big boys and girls. Now with payments to players - look at gym in Miami who is going to pay $500 to each schoolie football player for promoting their gym on social media. We cannot compete with that. Why would a kid even want pick a mid-major when Power 5 is tying up most of spots in tourneys and will have greatest influence and ability to pay top dollar. NCAA has become a free agent marketplace. Look for competing NCAAs to crop up

Even Cockburn from the illni is testing the transfer waters after backing out of the draft. A giant pyramid scheme is building

But even he says primarily due to his lead recruiter at Illinois going to Kentucky - not a step down by no means

When mid-major kids get a chance to move up many/most will. When a "major" kid is blocked or recruited over they may hit the road. If a "major" kid thinks they can improve their draft stock they're going to move. Rich get richer. Lucky us.

And she wants to leave town. I've said it before and I will keep saying it. I will never knock a local kid for wanting to go to college elsewhere. I know I couldn't wait to get an hour or more between my parents and me when I was 17/18.
