One can only hope that Cole Certa ('24 CCHS), Jaheem Webber ('24 NCHS), and Braylon Roman ('24 NCHS) feel the same way. A couple of those guys were at Monday's game. Seemed to be having a good time.

He probably couldn't break the IWU lineup. Looked overmatched against his old team. Looks like he tries really hard, but if we have to rely on him we are in a lot of trouble. I saw him play a lot in HS. I always thought he was probably a good DIII player at best and a future 4 Seasons HOFer. I hope he proves me wrong. I never understood the insane hype to get local kids to play for ISU. Sure it would bring in a few extra fans, but so does winning games.

I like that you throw this out there like he didn't spend 2 years already playing for a D1 team and averaging 9.5 then 13.5pts a game for them. I think the game against Western was a combination of playing his first real game in front of the hometown crowd, playing hurt, and his old team gunning for him for leaving. I think by years end he'll likely have similar numbers to what he had his first year at Western coming off the bench for us.

I do sort of agree with you on local kids. I honestly don't care about where a kid comes from, I just want to win. That said, the local group that ADunk mentioned, and I'd throw in Niko Newsome from Bloomington who is getting some hype, is shaping up to be a pretty good class.
