Jackson was on fire that tournament. I attended the Creighton game and the place was jumping that game too

Ya gotta keep moving forward in life keeping the beat as time marches on...otherwise life gets painful.

But these memories are STILL electric for me. The best of times. Rickey was so much fun to watch. I still remember Bender's choked voice in the press conference after the game - as he described Rickey Jackson as a man.

We happened to run into Rickey after the 1st round game as he was walking across the parking lot. awesome guy. excellent player. he was excited about the Creightn game upcoming and was confident we'd win it. can't even imagine what was going through his mind at that time. but when we saw him he was nice as could be and all smiles
