Horton works as an excellent 1-2X a year gimmick alternate site. I would personally love to see a game against Bradley in there and you might be able to get away with that for the next few years until ISU is competitive at the top of the conference and demand rises enough to fill at least most of RBA. This is a game that I hope had lots of recruits in attendance. The energy was probably the best I've seen out of an ISU crowd since Jackie Carmichael and Paris Lee helmed the birds. Getting that energy around a team every now and then could be great, but you CANNOT try to do this all the damn time and take away from it being a special event.

The find on all this was that, yes, Horton still works as a venue and that is a great thig for ISU.

This video you’d have to sit down and allott 25 minutes for, but it’s chock full of history about Horton. How it was built, enrollment growth, ticket prices, students camping out, quotes from Tarkanian and Richardson, old newspaper clippings, etc.
