$625K for the visit
Hell, I would go to OK for half the price!

So after we get our asses kicked and then pay for transportation, hotels and meals for 100 people... whats the athletic department actually net?? I would have rather gone there for nothing and play them a 2:1 away/home series in basketball over the next 10 years..

Actually I think there will be a great deal of money left over from the $675,000. That is a great amount of money and a payday for the Redbirds they don't usually come near. All most certainly they will be handed a loss. There is always the chance of an upset but none of us really believe that will happen. Still, it is Oklahoma...OU! The big boys schedule these games for a reason for their football team. Not their basketball team. I doubt that most students at OU even know they have a basketball team. Okay, I kid a bit. But when you think about schools like Duke or Indiana you think Basketball. When you think of a school like Oklahoma you think football. They scheduled ISU because they figure it is a sure win for their schedule that year and they make a payout to the lower level teams for that. Basketball is not a remote concern for the Power 5 when they schedule games like this.
I thought it was great to play NIU this year but a few Big 10 teams coming up and OU down the road on the Redbird schedule. A big step up from the Huskies.
Play the game and cash the check. Maybe put some of that money into the indoor practice facility...no way possible will they do that! Probably new carpet and office furniture for the AD's office!

Great game get and dollars, but fan experience? Not interested in spending monies for travel to see a 54 point loss....

If not rescheduled, then a decent $$ buyout presumably.

I definitely prefer playing the game, taking the beating, experience, and the money.
