Birds were struggling to hang on against 3’s, but were playing pretty even until we decided to put Kotov and 4 guards on the floor. Kotov had been providing good defensive and rebound help in the 4 spot, but somebody just doesn’t understand the difference between playing 1 big or 2. They were well prepared for the 1-3-1. So much for defensive intensity in the back court. I know I’m a big hater of our man-to-man quality, but is this one team they could match up with, especially if Fleming is on the floor?

Our volleyball team beat Marquette today. So there’s that.

Watching our new AD on the telly. No ISU gear for the AD?!? Great look.

I forget, is Nick Robinson playing for Valpo? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Blow. This. Team. Up.
Now!!!

We must be the easiest team to get an offensive rebound against.

The defensive intensity the guys talked about pre-game wasn't there. Shots we made against BU didn't fall. Shots missed by BU, Valpo made. We never got it together for any stretch. We'd gather mo and then make a mistake, and Valpo would capitalize. Valpo played a much better game and deserved to win. We played poorly and deserved to lose. That's where we're at.

So much for building on a nice win. That was an embarrassing effort. Looks like a 3rd straight year of play ins. Dan is building a legacy🙄

We lost it right out of the gate. Valpo getting an 8 pt lead right from the start gave them confidence which they sorely needed. Seems like a lot of games we start out poorly.

Boyd didn't play the 2nd half. I saw him holding his wrist after he dove for the ball in the 1st half. Did they say if was injured?

Dan is now Mr. Thursday night. It’s been discussed that we can’t afford to fire him, but at what time does it cross over to where we can’t afford to keep him. IMO, we are well past that point. #firedanmuller

In 8 conference games, take out the one good game that Strong has had & the one bad game that Boyd has had, and this is what you have;
Strong FG% 25-76 33% 3PT 6-24 25%
Boyd FG% 24-41 59% 3PT 13-23 57%
Play Boyd more minutes, Strong less minutes.
Or have Strong shoot less. He plays 31 minutes per game, most of any Redbird.

Apparently we didn't watch Baylor and get inspired for defensive effo
In year 9, we just lost to a team with 1 D1 win, shorthanded and on the road. As the Letterkenny Irish hockey coach would say, f*cking embarrassing!!
Remember 2017 and all those top 25 wins and the 8-9 seed we should have gotten in the ncaa tournament. These last 4 years don’t count because of that.

With Boyd hurt and not playing second half, bench had no scoring punch. If he is seriously hurt, Birds may not win another game.
