This is the worst Passing (turnover prone), Free throwing, Rebounding (especially offensive), Shooting, Paint defending Redbird team ever. Also, they are slow, low energy, poorly coached, and unmotivated. Was anything else not mentioned?

I have said this for the last couple of years. The team doesn’t seem engaged or happy. My wife and I were in Cayman for the Cayman Classic and no one looked like they were having any fun. If you can’t have fun in paradise on someone else’s dime...

Fast forward to our last win, the bench looked disinterested down the stretch, some were slouched over and looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. Just my two cents and I might be reading too much into it but at the end of the day, it’s still a game.

Two quotes from the coach from this morning's Pantagraph say it all:

"We had three main emphasis going into this game: taking care of the ball, rebounding and not fouling," said ISU head coach Dan Muller. "All three of those areas hurt us the entire game. I know rebounding numbers are not good at all, but the other two are what hurt us the most."

"The second half we just continued to foul, and the first half we continued to turn the ball over," said Muller. "We never got any rhythm or flow. Our bench struggled and we played some guys some more than we should have had to, and that led to some fouls."

Blame the coach, blame the players, take your pick. Blame both. They worked all week on three things that killed them during the game. They went in at half time and talked about the issues, and came back out and did the same. Either the message isn't being conveyed very well or the players don't get it. Or both. We need help.
