Evansville has had lots of offensive rebounds this game. Our inside players have a total of five points so far. We may go winless in the conference. We need change.

Horrible 2nd half. I didn’t see any great change by EU, just really poor play by Birds save for 2 minutes by Reeves.

No fire - just same predictable BS - turnovers and poor free throw shooting seal our fate. Let's just get this season over so Brennan can can Dan and go in a new direction.

The positives were defense and shot selection were much better than past games.
However, on the negative side, we had the same two problems as past games: turnovers and lack of offensive production from our front court.
ISU has 15 turnovers and EU had only 7. Because of this EU attempted 57 field goals to ISU 42, You can't score if you don't give yourself the opportunity to shoot.
Our front court of Marhorcic, Abdou, Sissoko and Washington had a total of 8 points. You have to have some degree of balance in your scoring between your backcourt and frontcourt, and we simply do not.

In some ways this was more damning than Loyola. Despite the 4-1 record UE isn’t very good. We played hard, a more effective defense. Yet one point form 0-6 on the road with all being double digits. In a slow slow game a slew of turnovers, 6-15 from the line. I thought we would have a good backcourt, we don’t so far. We are just bad.

Anyone who financially supports this program is literally throwing their money away. The only way you can send a message to the administration that there has to be a change is to stop giving financial support. Money talks people. You keep giving them money there is no reason to change. The enthusiasm for the program is as low as it has ever been. Who would go watch this mess even if fans could attend? At the most, 5 Valley wins. Very possibly 4 or less. It is so sad to see the state of ISU mens basketball.

Strong made a layup at 7:52 of the second half to give ISU 45 points. Their next score was at :24 seconds when Abdou made a 3. Damn near 8 minute scoring drought, at a point where EVille had the door wide open. When we NEED a hoop, we have nothing. Or they can't execute it. Don't know who to blame, coaches or players. Sad.

I am pretty sure Boyd didn't play the second half until almost 3 minutes to go. I think perhaps we could have used some offense.

We gave up 7 offensive rebounds in the second half. Pathetic.

Birds played a really good first 15 minutes with the exception of turnovers and missed FT. After that, the defense stay pretty solid, offense went to a lot of one on one and quick shots. Birds were down 8 and the offense was playing like it was 20.

The defense played really well today in the zone. Not many breakdowns. Man is still bad. The switching principles make me scratch my head. As other said, so many times during those switches Abdou or Duce get stuck on a quick guard.

Unfortunately, I don’t even think 0-18 would lead to a change this year. $$$$$$ and COVID excuse being utilized.

Hit your fts and u can still win. Our big gets fouled and doesn’t make them pay. They were inside his head at the line with their antics with arms flinging and stepping in the lane. Close yours eyes and it the dam ft!

You know, you might have something. He sure isn’t hitting his FTs with his eyes open.

Just because they had the lead doesn't mean they played well. This is Evansville after all. Not hard to build up a lead when two jr high teams are playing each other. It's like the tallest midget contest

I understand that we were not playing a powerhouse but the tallest midget has won 6 of their last 8 games. We played well defensively ... I will give ISU credit there. We defended the three well and they had long possessions where they often threw up last second shots.

We turned the ball over way too much in the first half way. We got that under control in the second half however besides a few drives from Reeves and jump shots from Strong were were ineffective. When we tried going inside, however, we either could not convert or missed free throws. Does Dusan ever go to his left... every? I don't understand why we didn't put Boyd in the second half sooner to try and jump start the offense. It may not have worked but he is capable.

I will be watching tomorrow.
