Jefferson seems better at taking what there is. Dump off to running back, keep the ball and run, etc.

While we may have momentum going into the half, I think our offense is stagnant. Receivers can’t get open so all we have are runs by Jefferson.

UNI doing good job of bringing enough pressure, passing game hasn’t shown much. They’ve got to call Jefferson’s number. Fake into line and go qb counter or naked bootleg. Everybody talks about how good a runner he is, yet we never design a play for him to run???

Is play action out of a 2 back set in the playbook? I don't think he can complete it but it's there and if he doesn't at the very least it might open up the box

This team is hard to watch. At this point, I’d be surprised if they win two of these games. Six months to get the offense figured out.

Part of me was sitting there thinking how painful it was to watch, and yet the other part was saying, other than the first 7 minutes or so, we had a pretty decent ball game until the end. Could be a lot of other stuff, but I've concluded, as an expert;) , our receiving corps is pretty damn sad. Not sure it's the QB that's hurting us that much - doesn't seem to be anyone open!!

Combo platter. Receivers aren’t getting open and Jefferson can’t hang on to the football. Bit them again today.

Another quality defensive effort. I thought the Redbird pass coverage was excellent. A solid pass rush helped. UNI is one school that can match us for toughness along the defensive front. For the most part we couldn't run between the tackles. A Jefferson keeper has been the best running play but a lane doesn't always open up when he is in the pocket. I think someone called for some rollouts last week. I think that's a good idea. It would give Jefferson a RUN pass option.

Even when we're limited to shorter passes we need to get vertical on some completions. We had very few passes where the receiver was running towards the endzone when he caught the ball. Lots of sidelines and look ins.
