Recruits, Fans and Social Media

I think this is a good reminder. I reached out to the ISU compliance department and asked what is and is not permissible under NCAA rule when it comes to fans, boosters and recruits. They sent me this graphic.

I mentioned it in a basketball recruiting thread but I have first hand experience with this when I was a undergrad. I saw all these top recruits getting tweeted at and it seemed we were small time by not doing the same thing. Bigger schools fans do it, so would our recruits think we don't want them as bad because we don't tweet to them? Who knows. I know it's never going to change but check out any tweet from Okoro or Payton, they are flooded with Illini fans. 

I haven't done it in a few years, but I'll have some interaction once they sign.
