As a bigtime college basketball nerd, tonight I intend to watch (or at least record), a one hour special on the 50th anniversary of the game that put college basketball on the national scene. The actual 50th anniversary day is January 20th, but the special airs tonight on CBS SportsNet. That 1968 game, between Lew Alcindor's UCLA team with a 47 game winning streak, against Elvin Hayes and his unbeaten (in 1968) Houston team, was played in front of 52,000 at the Astrodome, and was one of the first nationally broadcast games in college basketball history, with millions of viewers that night. The game was called by Dick Enberg. I have no idea how they will package the game into a one hour feature tonight, but I'll find out.
