The Championship game is on ABC-TV at 1 p.m. today. The Missouri Valley would have had a superpower team if NDSU still had Trey Lance but he was the #3 overall pick in the NFL draft. South Dakota St. is now the best the Valley has to offer. Is it enough? They controlled an undefeated CAA team in Delaware last week but Sam Houston poses a more difficult challenge. SDSU was able to pressure the Delaware QB, but QB Eric Schmid of Sam Houston is more elusive. He can extend the play passing or running and he can zip through holes in designed QB keepers. Sam Houston also has an electrifying threat in WR/PR Jaquez Ezzard. SDSU has offensive threats of their own but no one quite like Ezzard.

The Valley should remain the conference to beat in the '21-'22 season, but keeping the title in the conference today will be real challenge. If the Jacks can pull this off they will have beaten a very talented team. Go Jacks.

Somehow, I find it easier to root for the Bunnies than the Big Brown Cows. I wish them well, altho I'm still po'd they've got a freshman QB from Ilinois who apparently slipped thru our hands (we offered I believe).

Gronowski knocked out of game on first series. Looks like a knee. Not good for them if he is out for fall now to.

That was a wild final few minutes. Great game. The SH QB was getting the crap knocked out of him over and over and kept getting back up

I have to think SDSU wins that one pretty easily if Gronowski doesnt go out.
Early reports sound like it is ACL and he will miss the fall. Big hit for the Jacks.

Wow, losing him is brutal. The kid can flat out play. I hope a quick recovery for him and then he transfers to the big ten!

I don't care what state the next ISU QB comes from!
Well, I care a little, but what I really care about is when our QB from Mississippi or Indiana doesn't do so good and another team has a QB from Illinois we recruited and lost out on and they go to the playoffs. Under those circumstances, gimme the homie!

I often wonder, would that kid have the same success if he put on our uniform. It was a tough pill to swallow watching so many "local"kids do well in the FCS playoffs but I have no idea what the recruiting process was for each one and if we attempted to recruit them.
