Interesting choice for Coach Pedon's vet assistant on staff.
Hasn't been in on-court role since 2017.
Andrew Dakich is first time assistant.
Coach Judson has been a personal assistant to the HC at Marquette and Depaul for 5 years now.
Hoping Ryan is successful at ISU as he's a good man. Also hoping the Redbirds can make their perch on top of the Valley.
I will be rooting for them

Welcome back Coach Judson.

I thought Judson had a solid chance to come back since his wife is referred to as Dr. Kim Judson and still teaches. But most importantly I wanted someone who's older, has been in that chair before and helped out a lot of other really good coaches. Was hoping for a guy in a roll of associate head coach but coach Judson checks boxes of

- Experience
- Midwest roots
- Has been around the MVC
- Knows Blo-No and the area
- Knows the game of basketball
- Has built a house and enjoys living in Blo-No

Offutt and Dakich are still both young and this is Dakich first roll as an assistant, but at Elon Dakich was vital in the Martinelli recruitment. Pedon says he wasn't looking for an experienced guy but when you have 2 guys who can connect with the young kids a teacher of the game is great to have.

Phenomenal work, BF. And man, how exciting is it to see that many quality in-state and Chicago prospects getting offers from this coaching staff!

Tyler Hicks has joined the staff as a grad assistant. He was a manager at OSU the last few years.

Would appear we now have two grad assistants? Jack Betz from the OSU.

Yup! It seems Pedon is opting to go the GA route versus director of player development, video coordinator, etc. I’d expect he still brings in a DOBO to handle the day to day admin stuff but nothing wrong with having GAs in the program. It’s cheaper than paying an additional 2-3 full time staff.
