And John Ridgeway had some camera time on MNF the other night. He blasted Dallas Goeddert and knocked him out of the game which was unfortunate

James O is a better fit for the Bears offense, but they seem to be running very few multiple TE sets and Kmet is really starting to show what he can do. With Irv Smith down, they are one injury away from only carrying a single TE on the Vikings and as they will probably clinch the division in 2 weeks and will get away from playing high priced starters as much, I can see James getting a good amount of PT in the final 3-4 games.

They'll do what they can to get home field advantage.

Maybe Ridgeway was still pissed off about the Redbirds loss to SDSU ??

So maybe not so "unfortunate" ?

Shoot ... did I just say what everyone else is thinking out loud ?

Current Vikings WR coach Keenan McCardell was the WR coach at Jacksonville, so he has a relationship with James O from their time together in Jax.

Pretty good year wrapped up yesterday for Shanon Reid at SMU. Finished 4th on the team with 59 total tackles. Had an interception in their bowl game yesterday in a 23-24 loss vs BYU.

Did Spack push him out, or he left on his own ?

I think he left on his own, pretty sure he was married and had a senior season already and the thought was with covid he was looking to move on with his life. What changed I am not sure but I am pretty sure that is how some of that went down and was the thought process because he did play 4 games as a junior at Tennessee in 2019.

I don't think this was posted here, a note from today's article in Prairie State Pigskin. Make me a little less "pissed" that Ridgeway move on:

During the Dec. 18 “Sunday Night Football” player introductions, Washington Commanders defensive lineman John Ridgeway III introduced himself and identified his college as “Illinois State.” Ridgeway, a Bloomington native, played from 2017-2020 for the Redbirds before transferring to FBS Arkansas for the 2021 season.

Nice gesture by Ridgeway. He spent a lot more time at ISU than he did at Arkansas. I am sure he appreciated the opportunity that ISU afforded him. To him, his college probably is ISU. Arkansas was just a stepping stone he had to take advantage of. He did not forget where he came from and good for him for that!

Interesting thought - maybe the "wave of the future". P5 becomes the "new minor leagues" to some guys, move on from FCS to P5 for a year then to the "major leagues"/NFL. No different than a baseball player getting drafted from ISU and moving on after junior year to Class A ball and then moving up the ladder.
