That's where Tre is!
I remember Kenney and I once posted that I was surprised that he didn't play more. He was only here for a short time before being dismissed (reasons not divulged), but I am not shocked that he is still playing pro ball. He could play.Watching Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. BC Lions. Roster shows Roughriders have David Kenney at DL from ISU, age 27. Class of 2015 from ISU? Later? Transfer from Indiana. Kind of vaguely remember him, but don't think he was a big contributor? Anyone?

I believe Tim McCloyn went to rookie minicamp with the Bears after the draft but I don't think he was offered a contract at that point.Don't know if it has been said here but Luther Kirk is currently with the Browns.
Any updates on Tim McCloyn? I'm assuming he did not make the cutoff? Not that familiar with the NFL offseason
more guaranteed, but later ?Seattle restructured Shelby's deal so their cap hit this year is $4.8 instead of $7.8.
more guaranteed, but later ?
Nice preseason honor for Woods.
That secondary helped hold NDSU to just 9 points - without a TD - at home in the playoffs. If a Bison lateral had been called a fumble they might have been headed to Frisco…Last man standing from our great 2019 secondary (starters) ... so I don't entirely blame him for tranferring. Others may disagree there.
I couldn't know this for sure, but I'll say it again .. 2019 secondary had to be ISUr best secondary ever .. certainly the best in FCS that year. Add a younger Clayton Isbell to that group .. all told, 5 lost FBS transfers or NFL prospects:
- SR Safety Luthor Kirk to NFL after 2019
- then JR Safety Christian Uphoff .. left early after 2020 fall canceled to prepare for NFL draft and should have made Packers by all accounts there, but still hasn't latched on. Wonder if it deflated him. Local press thought he was a near lock for roster, if not practice squad.
- then JR CB Devon Taylor to Va Tech, then Bowling Green .. Fan Nation just gave him nod as most likely UDFA to earn roster spot with Washington Commanders.
- then SO CB Charles Wood to WVU just made all Big XII preseason team .. this is very impressive.
- then RS FR Safety Clayton Isbell to Utah
At some point, I will stop fawning over this secondary ... but it was just so good, probably as good or better than our 2019 DL that year.
The DB recruiting in recent years has been very impressive. We've lost guys early but thus far we've been able to keep finding good ones and plugging them in. We lost some good ones from '21 (Isbell, I. Brown, J. Jackson) but we've got some proven transfers coming in (Larry Tracy - Indiana, DeAndre Lamont - Cent Arkansas and Sy Dabney - Bowling Green). They'll compete with returnees like Gearhart, Price, K. Jackson and my favorite Franky West. It should be a reload and not a rebuild.Last man standing from our great 2019 secondary (starters) ... so I don't entirely blame him for tranferring. Others may disagree there.

Our DB group is almost getting like our RB reputation and surprisingly has been better than our LBer group as a whole the past few seasons. We definitely have figured out our "type" in the secondary. The DB recruiting in recent years has been very impressive.
