There is something rewarding about knowing that Ridgway is only a part-time player at Arkansas, and Charles would his special teams only playerAt West Virginia so it's very nice and very rewarding knowing that they left in the team ISU need you most I wish them the worst of success
Theres a point to be made, but this aint it.

I saw very little of the Arkansas-Texas A & M game Saturday, but during the few minutes that I watched, the announcers complimented Ridgway (by name) as being a force in the middle of the Arkansas D-line.

You'd have to be nuts, and void of any football acumen or credibility, to suggest that Ridgway is an insignificant "bit player" at Arkansas.

Ridgeway could have made it to NFL playing on ISUr this year - he certainly would have gotten lot of interest, even if not drafted. Odds are he would have landed somewhere.

This is the point Crazzy could have made.

But Ridgeway improved his chances with the NFL and in the NFL Draft by going to Arkansas in the SEC. This is the point he is completely ignoring, as if Ridgeway should never consider what is best for his future.

If JR would have found an FBS roster (i.e. SEC for sure) that would have played him a lot day 1, he too could have improved his chances of getting drafted .. instead of having just the worst NFL Team bring him in as Undrafted FA, because only their RB coach liked JR enough. I'll bet Crazzy a lot of money, this thought went thru Ridgeway's head.

Charles Woods was also going into his SR year and was avery good cover guy at ISUr. Rightly ow wrongly, he too could have thought same thing .. he needed higher level to get a better chance at next level. He's listed as RS JR, so he's got another season. I don't know why he left, but that could have been a factor.

Ridgeway leaving made 100% sense. Woods may not have made as much sense, I don't know .. Im not him and it may still work out for him. Maybe he's banged up and working his way into more reps.

Woods leaving was not just for the FBS opportunity I think. Another factor was probably some fallout with Coach Spack.

Trio of former Redbirds speak out against Spack

Yeah, I missed this article .. though hard to get full read on situation. Spack has always worn players thin and now they have an option. Whether a kid decides to take to social media or press to talk about it can always be viewed different ways. The Coach Hall things could be something, if Spack really disliked his popularity among players .. maybe Hall went to far, or maybe Spack felt unnecessarily threatened or undermined. Players need to be able trust some of the coaches .. Spack should know this and be willing to be the bad guy and rely on coaches like Hall to reel the players back in offline ... it can//should be a positive contrast. Again, who knows what went wrong with Hall .. if anything.

Anyone have good insights on Hall departure outside of this article ??

I think you have to consider that the OC position came open and it was filled in-house. Everybody wanted that position. Normally you would say that only 1 person can have it. Instead two people were hired but neither one was named Khenon Hall. I don't think that sat well with him and he may voiced his displeasure with the decision.

RB Jeff Proctor left the Redbirds and went to Texas Southern. His position coach is Khenon Hall.

Jags win on a 53 yard field goal at the gun. Jrob had 73 yards rushing and I know he head 3 catches at one point.
