For whatever reason, over the past several years - our losses at home have come with Noon start times. I do not know the correlation, but it is there staring you right in the face.

Over the past three years - 2017, 2018, and 2019 to date - the Redbirds are a sterling 1-5 in home games with a Noon start time.

Even a 1:00 start time is much better, but it looks like the 2:00 or later start times work better.

I knew there had to be a good reason.

I heard/read a note that ISU traveled out of state for the first time for the Brookings game. wow.

You are correct on the travel part for this year - our road games were to DeKalb, Charleston, Carbondale, and Macomb, until going to Brookings and then Youngstown later this month. Road record is 4-1, overall home record is 3-2 - Noon start times is 0-2, while all other start times is 3-0.

small sample size and makes assumption that all opponents are the same competitiveness regardless of start time.

Perhaps the selection committee could take into account that we would've beat NDSU and UNI, had we played them a little later in the afternoon???

Explain how that was a poor performance by the defense or special teams. Yes after Brady went down the offense was terrible but if you call that defense today poor please show me a good defense.
