I think you might be able to move the circle a little east and south. I think EKU, WKY, Morehead, Peay, Tenn St, UT-Martin, Belmont, Tenn State, Miami OH, IPFW, Western MI, could all be viable candidates for weekend bus trips. Could be a Thursday-Sunday trip type thing.
originally i had the circle encompassing west ohio and to mid-Kentucky but with long bus rides to Cedar falls, Des Moines, and Springfield, mo already planned I just can see them wanting to bus that far too many more times but yes, those are conceivable.

Maybe a chance we can play in that? Maybe they are looking to keep it regional? They aren't going to invite another B1x team so maybe?

Illinois, St. Louis, DePaul, & Illinois State (make-up for cancelled football game) would be a good choice!

We have a 1% chance if being invited to that and it's only that high because of Covid

I know right now there is not much that can be done in this crazy year, but I really don't like going to tournaments where other MVC schools are. Even good ones.

8 schools. Each school to play 4 games in 10 days. They won't play each other so it doesnt matter for this type of tournament. It's not round robin or move on to fax ethe winner type either

That makes more sense. But we have played in past holiday type tournaments and ended up playing a Valley team. No positive in that whatsoever, IMO.

Interesting about Chatman
So I can see why Dan would want to get the waiver, but hold off on actually playing Chatman this year. If we run into an injury problem, then we have someone available to fill a hole. Or we can have a guy ready for next year.

if memory serves, wasn't the initating purpose for revising non-conference schedules to reduce travel and keep teams near their area (which should be somewhat similar in terms of CoViD-19 risk)? Looks like schools are still criss-crossing the country.

Nebraska MTE now includes Cleveland State, Colorado State, Illinois State, Louisiana State, Nebraska, Nevada, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma State, Saint Louis, San Francisco, South Florida.

Too bad, for one season, there couldn't have been a "Land Of Lincoln" MTE that could include Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, Western Illinois. Have three three-team pools (resulting in two games for each school), then have the first, second, and third place pool teams play each other (adding two more games for each school, four in total).

Liberty replaced us in the Cancun Challenge.
