1/4 million anticipated at the Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this week; it will be interesting to see what cause/effect fallout may/not come out of that.

no/any/every body is some sort of expert - and more often than not are willing to express it. There is no consensus on athletics starting in less than a month, let alone in three.

I will say the Ivy League is less monetarily jaded than most conferences. Their motives are probably more pure than say the conglomeration of P5 schools.

You are true the P5's will focus more on money. They won't cancel a season and maybe not even push it back like the IVY would but they have shown with fall sports that only conference games will be played. Except the B1G hasn't decided yet. People are eagerly waiting their decision since the Big Ten is closely aligned with the IVY more than any other P5 conference. At least that is what I have read. IF the B1G decides to push back until Spring all others will follow.

Here in Melbourne, we may suck but still going to go and see as many games as work allows

What a bummer. Hopefully we fill the non-con with some interesting games. This feels like a season where we'll fill out what we can with Jank-style games. I did see somewhere that buy-games this season are going to be paying 10-15k as opposed to the 75-100k+ that they usually do.

Could be a viable replacement. Closer and they'll be looking for a team to replace Cal.

We are already -1 or 2 to fill the schedule before this -4? A put the odds of a noncon at slim

This schedule was vomit-inducing before this news What a pathetic excuse ISU hoops has become. 100% irrelevant to those outside of B-N

Excellent. The season hasn't even started and we're slamming the team.

Not slamming the team - although I doubt they’ll win 18- just slamming another yawn-laden schedule.
I had such high hopes the year we played San Diego State, Maryland, Kentucky, etc. it’s been dog shit since. And I don’t give a shit if WKU is a “tournament caliber” team. No one cares about those kind of matchups. Give me a Texas Southern type of non-con schedule. All day. Every day.

Here's some info Muller Navigating 2020 - Valley Hoops Insider

Traveling to games will be tricky. Coaches and administrators routinely say schedules will be more regionally located. Muller’s reasoning is that he doesn’t think his team will fly to play any games this season. Since there are numerous D1 schools in Illinois, I wondered if just playing teams from ‘Land of Lincoln’ made sense. Muller says that may be a group too small to choose from.

My guess is anthing within or touching this circle is what we can expect from a nonconference schecdule. With trips to Drake, UNI, and MoSt. already planned, which are on the outer edge of the circle I cant imagine they want to travel far in many other games. Maybe two more trips to the outer edge other wise a lot of stuff closer to ISU. Although, some very good teams in/touching that circle.

I think you might be able to move the circle a little east and south. I think EKU, WKY, Morehead, Peay, Tenn St, UT-Martin, Belmont, Tenn State, Miami OH, IPFW, Western MI, could all be viable candidates for weekend bus trips. Could be a Thursday-Sunday trip type thing.
