I saw where Mizzou is expected to play @ Mo State in the 20-21 season. Assuming this is happening because of proximity and limited travel. Plenty of opportunity for Illannoy take a 30 minute drive west on I74 or even an hour to Bradley, or BOTH?!?

Exciting! An 18-13 (lost to WIU, and Evansville pre Walter firing) team losing their best player. Muller loading up!

The only way on gods green earth you’re going to see Illinois in redbird arena is in the NIT where they have no choice. Refresh my memory has that opportunity presented itself anytime recently?

We lost a heartbreaker of a game just a few years ago which would have had this exact situation.

This guy forgetting 2017? People in Missouri said the exact same thing about Mizzou going to JQH.

Sarcasm meter not working well for some today!

Adunk, the day ILLINOIS, sets foot in RBA for a regular season matchup, I will ban myself from RBF for life. Sorry to get your hopes up, not happening . At least we have ball state and Milwaukee to look forward to

What? Thought some on Board want to join the MAC for football reasons.

David Letterman is thrilled about this game

This will be affectionately called the Rick Bettenhausen Invitational.

Not sure on this one. But their tourney drought is only slightly shorter than ours. I'm guessing we have been told, H/H and keep to bus travel because who knows exactly how any of this stuff will shake out. Based on record, at least they are above .500 and with the current coach he's building a culture there, looking at his tenure. My philosophy is 2020-21 is a wash season, get these guys to learn to play together, then 2021-22 better make some noise. So this could very well be a good Home game in 21-22. But big picture, this saves some cash on travel, because it will be by bus and not plane, which means maybe the girls team can make their travel circle a little bigger and get a game that might position them in the future. Gotta look at the entire picture instead of just one game and complain. But Muncie on a Saturday night, think I might claim 'I'm still broke from the game in Milwaukee' and have to watch this one from my couch at home. But better then hosting Our Little Sister of the Poor, or DeVry Technical Institute.

Embrace the regional/local rivalries . . . budget is going to affect ability to travel for many schools . . .

Would love a Northwestern (HA!), Notre Dame, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Xavier, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, St. Louis, or Illinois (HA! x 18) series. Hell, even Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky, Ohio State, Kansas, Arkansas, Memphis, Vanderbilt, Minnesota series if they want to bus a little further.

Butler would be good, too.

DePaul, too. Theyre coming up. How about Creighton? Would love a Wichita State series but it won't happen.

Per this source we have games with Southern Miss, Murray State, and SLU next season. Assuming the SLU series is a H/H means Okoro will play against the Redbirds in 2021.

I like keeping Murray State in fold. I think SLU will be some good games plus very short drive for my wife and I. Can't wait for the season. With no sports I can't stop thinking about if the kids can play or not.
