Here is a lesson for posters.

CLICK. THE. LINK. BEFORE. ACTING. LIKE. YOU. KNOW. WHAT. YOU. ARE. TALKING. ABOUT.

It literally says at the top of the webpage that is linked:

Men's Basketball Video Coordinator

It's really not hard to hit a link and see what the article or job or whatever actually says before trying to play detective about what Mexico, Missouri might mean. FFS.

Yeah, that was my bad. I originally read this tweet and skimmed over the minor detail... the highlighted title. Birdgrad2011 caught it above.

Bottom line is, my posts are so damn credible that nobody would ever think to fact check me ;)

Update: Fixed the title and my original post.

Not completely wrong. Don’t see Reese on the website anymore. Good for him to get off the sinking ship.
To be fair, what did he add? Didn’t reel in any big recruits. Nobody really got better under him. Fine with him here fine with him gone.

No idea on Reese. Not sure a “skill development” coach from a prep school with no experience brings much unless he brought players with him.

You have to think this is a package deal for someone to take a temp job.

He played on that 2012 #15 seed Northfolk state team that upset #2 Mizzou.

I went to see if he did anything in that game and noticed not a single Norfolk state player off the bench scored a single point (Johnson came off the bench).

Reese leaving. Of course, he had a son that is a promising prospect.

Amused that our exiting transfer portal players have been gobbled up by programs wanting to tap into the magic being created in Normal. Last place players are obviously at a premium for the destination programs.

Does this mean Sy Chatman is returning or did he just forget to mention him as a transfer?

He has added the same thing Muller has since he has been here: Nothing...but collect a paycheck!

We've had success with teams that have had to come together in seven months from all different backgrounds – 12 new players at a time – and having to come together and get them off to college and put a schedule for them to develop and get better and develop an environment of healthy competition where everyone is going for a like goal."
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this quote from Johnson yet. This is very much what is going to have to happen this season. It sounds like he is not someone who buys into the "we're young/unexperienced" mindset. I like the hire for because it brings some level of fresh life to the program (obviously it still has issues). I have to think he's got recruiting ties somehow with his experience.
