Hey every one,

With now a really quiet time for ISU sports from now until at least summer football, if not later, I'm thinking up doing a site update.

I currently use phpbb forums and I'm not a huge fan other than it's free. And there are features I can't deliver due to limitations of phpbb, such as hiding people on your foe list in quotes.

The Indiana St message board just updated to a new software, but he has to pay for it every year, but I REALLY like it. And it includes hiding foe's in quotes. :D

So my question is, would you be willing to donate to help me pay for this forum software, which I think is a big improvement? There is no wrong answer and if no one wants to, then I either won't upgrade or I'll fund it myself which is fine.

Yes! If it includes hiding foes in quotes I'm in. How much do you need?

Seriously if it make your day easier, yes.

I'm for it, but like anything else, will depend on the cost. How much are you needing?

Will there still be a premium content forum for insiders?

I had originally voted no, because I am reading these boards less and less, because of the way the board has devolved into the bickering that it is now. The only reason I am looking at it now is for some insight into hoops recruiting.

However after reading the comments (should have done that originally before voting) I reserve the right to change my mind.

Im definitely in but depends on the cost sharing level.

Hate to say it ... but this may not be the year to add costs to services. I'd wait to pull trugger until there are more positive signs for fall football ... and then winter basketball.

Some soft commits are likely to renege if no games are played

Fair enough. From my point, I have the time and low traffic. It will cause the least amount of interruption for users this way.

If you had to guess- what do you need? Monthly or yearly? I know it depends on the amount of people but ballpark range?

Since some were asking, it would cost approx $250 initially and then just $55 a year after that for updates.

Voted yes. This board feels like it lives in 1996. Upgrading would be nice to get a little more up to date with technology. I’ll cover the whole cost of the board and in return I’ll take over moderator duties. Got a deal?

So there we have it. Quinn stays in charge and implements a hefty pay per click with no trials.
