I have to give Gillespie and Co. credit; this is a good get. We needed posts, we got posts. We need guards, we're getting guards.

I was very skeptical of this hire and the staff, but I have seen a lot of progress in recruiting in a short amount of time.

I read that she wanted to go to Wisconsin, but it looks like we put on a full court press to get her:

"Although Gietzel still has her senior year of high school basketball left, it’s hard for her not to look ahead. She already has scholarship offers from NCAA Division I Bucknell University and Division II Winona State University, with interest being shown from the University of Wisconsin, the University of Nebraska Omaha, Loyola University Chicago and Cleveland State University."

The rising senior was the primary catalyst on a Regal squad that finished 26-1, went undefeated in the regular season and reached the Class 2A semifinals. Crompton averaged 18 points per game, shot 55 percent from the field, 47 percent from deep and 88 percent from the line. She finished as 2A's leading three-point shooter.
