The NCAA's governing board met yesterday to make a decision on fall sports championships and whether they will take place. The Board of Governors had met previously and kicked the decision to yesterday. They met until 7:00 pm yesterday and again they came to no decision kicking the can one again until today, or so they said. This is a big decision for all FCS teams since the FCS Football championship playoffs would not be held if the BoG votes to not hole them this fall. For the Power 5, their Championship Bowl series is not run by the NCAA and they would likely go on with their season. Some are predicting this may be the straw that breaks the camel's back between the Power 5 schools and the NCAA. This will be an interesting decision to watch ... if they can ever make a decision.

UConn no longer had a complete schedule. They are an Independent team in a season where most non conference games are cancelled.

Notre Dame is pretty lucky they made the agreement with the ACC a few years ago. Even the Irish with their clout would have been having a difficult time scheduling without the ACC ties. Not a conference member in football of course but they agreed to play several ACC teams each year and the ACC appears to be working with them. Not a good year to be an independent, particularly in FBS.

Kind of? Does the NCAA BOG ever decide anything? Always seems to kick it off to someone else. Bunch of chickens.
I think Quinnie is being way to hard on NCAA ... here is example whtere they made a decision and even upheld it on appeal

"The committee found that the stipend exceeded the cost of books for 72 student-athletes by a total of $16,180. The violations also caused 30 student-athletes to exceed their individual financial aid limits. The committee found that, collectively, the 30 student-athletes exceeded their individual financial aid limits by $5,237."

Just to put this disgraceful Cal Poly behavior in perspective ... Cal Poly has about 560 student athletes. 72 of them got handouts totaling 16,180 .. which is a life changing/corrupting average of $225 per person for 13% of their student-athletes. And the icing on the cake was that this caused 30 of those 72 athletes to exceed their maximum financial aid by $175 per person ... just mind-blowing how big this scandal was .. I cant even imagine having that kind of money in my pockets !! I mean this is Jeff Skilling/Enron and Bernie Maddoff level financial corruption at it's worst folks. And to make matters even worse ... Cal Poly had the arrogance to self report it ... as if to say, "yeah, we did it, and no, were not ashamed at all" !!!!!

So that is just 1 example of NCAA willingness to make the tough decisions and stand by those decisions.

I think Quinnie owes the NCAA an apology, and should have his Redbird Forum account frozen .. all in favor ???
