I thought this deserved it's own thread.
Congratulations to the Women's volleyball team on back to back championships. Brackets come out today and all games will be in Omaha starting April 14th.

Birds dominated in set 1 and 2 on Saturday. Loyola battled back, as they had done all weekend, to win set 3. Set 4 was hard fought on both sides but the Birds came out on top. Sidney Holt was on fire for most of the tournament.

Stef Jankiewicz and Sidney Holt both made the all tournament team and Kaylee Martin was tournament MVP. Sarah Kushner received the Elite 17 award.

Can't wait to watch the team in the NCAA Tournament.

Think they undefeated in the Mountain West.
IIRC, they hadn't lost a set in six or seven matches . . . Seems like they were a quality team that didn't have any real competition, so the RPI may not have represented their true talent. That said . . . beating UK would be a huge surprise.

I figured UNLV hadn't played the same kinda of competition. That All American was something. I never seen a serve as wicked/hard as hers. She leads the nation in serving. I now know why.

I wonder if they can win a set against U of K?

Her serve was amazing. I would not want to have to try and dig that. She is a great player and fun to watch.

I thought we played well, just couldn't get over the hump in the first two sets.

Against Kentucky she had 5 service errors with no aces. Maybe they intimidated her, or she was trying too hard. We needed those service errors!
