Birds are opening +6

A good home test for us! Let’s see what we’ve got.

Line is already starting to move. Still +6 but now carry’s -115 juice and moneyline went from +205 to +200. This will be at +5.5 soon, then who knows from there. Have to like ISU getting 6 at home.

Should be interesting...hopefully the Birds find some consistent scoring from players other than Reeves.

Play D and don't turn the ball over. Some encouraging signs the first two games. We'll see if the fellas can start to gel a bit here.

MVC Player of the Week versus the OVC Player of the week. KJ Williams averaged 22 ppg and 6 rebounds last week in wins over Cumberland and Bellarmine. This will be Murray's toughest game to date. They walked over Cumberland and after a close game at halftime vs Bellarmine, they pulled away in the second half.

The Birds will need Reeves + 1. Tone needs to be Tone and someone else needs to step up. Last game was Sy. If Sy and Reeves can score consistently, from there you just need a balanced effort from guys like Freeman, Strong, McChesney, Lewis, Washington, and Fleming.

Should be a fun one.

Play D WITHOUT fouling. Must limit fouls, which has been a Muller bugaboo his entire tenure, except when Yak was defensive coordinator. Need Sy to maintain his level of play. Freeman needs to settle down. Really need Emon to be there.

From Benson Article:

Antonio Reeves looks to continue his offensive fireworks for the Redbirds. Reeves' 61 points in the first two games of a season are tied for second in ISU history with Doug Collins (1971), behind only George Terry's 67 points in 1967.

Who is going to be the 3rd scorer tonight? Dan said they are physical inside. Wonder which one our true 5s will step up tonight?

Chatman is really the only post guy to show that he can be physical so far

The key is going to be playing offense like we have, but step up the defense. We have proven we have several scoring options and can get shots, and are a much better team at the line than in the past. Till we can keep the other team from scoring it's going to be an uphill battle

Down 29-18 at 7:11 in 1st half. Good news, we're not fouling. Bad news, it's because we're not defending very well. We're losing the rebounding and 3-pt shooting battles.

Both sides of the ball just awful. After 10 years and countless under his mentor Stallings you think Dan would have a clue. No offense being ran just jack ups 3’s
