The tourney always delivers. The last 2 years there were 5 and 6 Non power 5 plus American wins in the first round. Yesterday there were 6 the first day. SD st should have won, Akron and Vermont could have. If that happened over half the games would have been won by mid majors…

Guards are good. And Bigs aren't tall, but are wide and physical.

I don't follow it personally but several Illannoy fans around me are saying that if KSU can match what Underwood is making at Illinois, he's likely going to make the jump. Doesn't make sense to me, but hey- if a new coach would return U of I to the basement of the B1G, then that's fine with me.
Well, I get it, he's a K State alum and former assistant there. I remember chatter when Weber was hired that many of the faithful wanted their "guy" Underwood hired instead. So he left with Frank Martin for South Carolina.

So I could see him wanting to go back to his home state, his alma mater, to restore K State to its former glory, etc. etc.

I was watching John Groce with Akron last night thinking, geez, how far the Illini have come.

Figure this will trigger some, but I am very happy MVC traded Loyola for Murray. Throw in Belmont and league has gotten better, probably much better. Bunch of seniors leaving Loyola. They probably make more money leaving but I think MVC gaining Nashville market just got better in money terms also.

Never going to happen. Underwood has an AD that will take care of him. Weber had to take a pay cut during Covid. Underwood has a $8 million buyout and was making double what Weber was.

Lots of coaches agreed to take pay cuts during covid. Including Underwood. Even guys like Bill Self, Coach K and Izzo did. Not sure why you even brought that up? Were you trying to slight K-State there?

Underwood makes what 3.5 Mil a year? Weber was making 2.4 mil. It was 2.8 before the agreed upon pay cut.

Considering they’d have to outbid Illinois and pay an $8 million buyout. Whitman was willing to give Antigua $1 million as an assistant so there’s no shortage of staff money. Plus Illinois cares about basketball a tad more than KSU.

Baylor out of the way now. Murray may have a path to the final 4. Long term good for the valley.

Purdue has two huge centers but Texas plays great defense. Better matchup against Texas for Murray. Meanwhile they better take care of business against St Peter's. I am wondering if Collins (Murray Sr guard) will be able to play on the injured ankle.

Purdue really smiling now. Had a couple alumni from there text me already. And, agree they need to take care of business. I just thought and I could be wrong that Baylor style would be tough for Murray.
