Still prefer simplicity and equity of the 9 team MVFC .. play everyone once. But expansion is usually inevitable ... for me, 12 Teams with and East-West schedule split is the next most logical alternative. Unfortunately, this makes for inequitable schedules ... the West/Dakotas will have tougher SOS
Plus rumors continue regrettable that our friends from WIU will likely need to drop down at some point. And YSU could be force further east, as much as YSU football die hards would hate for that to happen.

Welcome to Murray State to the MVFC. Have to wonder if WIU and Youngstown State leave. With 12 teams if you do a division split idk how you can make that fair or work for all 12 parties.

I don't see anyone leaving really, but the two you mention have questions for sure. Indy State has had a pretty rough run the last 10-15 years. YSU would more logically fit in the MAC if they chose to do that. WIU and InSU could go OVC I spose. WIU could get in with the Missouri/Kansas DII conference if they went down.

I just wonder how it's going to work, especially now that NDSU has stated they voted against it. I can't imagine that you would want to upset them...
No divisions. Going with rotation scheduling.

Give disparity of West vs East division with 12 teams, dropping to 10 teams is fine by me ... maximum 1 game disparity in schedulling is way better than 4 game disparity potential. It happens in Big Sky all the time .. someone goes 6-2, but didn't play 3 of the top 4 or something like that,
Reason I like 2 division with 12 team MVFC is greater structure to scheduling .. 5 of 5 in your division, 3 of 6 in other division .. alternating every year.
Either way, the scheduling is bound to cause disparities come playoff time. And the FCS selection committee has not always done a good job with the bubble teams relative to SOS.

No divisions. Each school will play the other at least four times every six seasons.

MSU has a top 25 FB team?? Wow didn't ever know they have a team. Welcome to THE number one conferences in FCS and one of the better FB conferences in all college FB. Good luck with that.

The over 1,000 miles between Fargo, ND & Murray, Kentucky and the closest airport I’m guessing is Paducah, Kentucky probably bothers NDSU a little.
I don't feel bad for them. Any other conference they could easily go would require more travel than Murray State. Youngstown State has to deal with this when traveling to NDSU.

Yes, they do. Hector International Airport.
It's the busiest airport in North Dakota.

I knew they did, which that is the difference in NDSU traveling to Murray & YSU traveling to Fargo.
Murray, KY has a runway big enough to land a 737-100. They would probably be flying charter which is smaller and wouldn't even play them every year let alone play at Murray every year.
