We are all much happier with a win than a loss. Nice job by the team to break its skid. It’s great to win on the road in the Valley, no matter where you play.

This win, over a struggling MSU who looks like they will terminate Dana’s contract here soon, does not eliminate the questions I have about this team. I am more looking forward to see how we do against teams like Murray State, Belmont, and UNI. I want to see this team make progress. This offseason’s recruiting and next year‘s performance will be extremely telling to how the Pedon era continues or ends on a particular type of not.

When was the last time we had more Assists than Turnovers?
We've actually had more assists then turnovers in 7 of our last 9 games, starting with the North Dakota State game. On the season we have 223 assists to 226 turnovers. Not a big difference but it is a difference and our turnovers are improving, just need to make shots like we did Saturday.
Compared to last year on the season we had 345 assists to 466 turnovers.

Bradley, too. Gotta show up for rivalry games. And ideally win one.

It seems Johnny has earned Malachi's minutes.

Also, I think Dana gets to finish out the year and gets canned on Thursday in STL. He'll go be an assistant on a P5 bench.

Mal has done little to earn minutes the last 10 games. He seemed a true leader at the start of the year

Would love to see Dana back in Normal. Won’t happen, but would love it

My opinion, Dana needs to do what Porter did. He needs to go and find a top tier HC to learn from for a few years, and then come back and take a HC job like 5 years or so from now.

I agree . . . but . . . My question would be whether Ford’s ego would allow him to “take a step back” . . .

I think your right. Dana is a good recruiter and can help the right team.

There are usually no lateral moves when a coach gets fired. Is going back to his previous Tennessee State level to still be a HC, or does he swallow his pride and follow the Moser path?

I guess it depends on the man. Was Porter younger than Dana is now when he joined Majerus’ staff?

It looks like Porter was 38 when he went to SLU.
Dana is 39 right now.
