Men’s tennis again fails to make conf tournament

It looks like it came down to a match we lost at North Dakota. We beat ORU and Omaha while losing to ND, Denver, and Drake. Denver and Drake are definitely better programs and perhaps invest more in the sport. We haven’t won a conference title since 2010 (3 years before Klysner arrived), and it doesn’t look like we’ll win one anytime soon with what we currently put into the program unless we outperform expectations.

Considering what we invest in men’s tennis, it’s fairly low on the list unless we’re losing some major funding because of our performance. Comparatively, when our golf programs finish outside of the top 4, that’s noticeable. When soccer finishes below .400 3 seasons in a row, it’s a bigger problem to address (new coach started last year to clean that up) Because of what we invest vs our conference mates.
