In case anyone forgot, or is so new to ISU football that you haven't learned about Coprich yet, a testament to how great he was is the fact that James Robinson's career rushing stats at ISU came up something like 800 yards and 15 touchdowns shy of Coprich's school records.

What took so long !!;)

Absolutely loved watching him play .. his talent, hisdrive, his energy and positive attitude was always on full display. I recall how our pass game just dissolved into nothing in 2013 ... and he just kept plugging away on a 5-6 team. The only difference between him and JR was JR's size .. or Marshaun would have gotten much longer looks in NFL.

Still nor sure how Spack, et al found and got him. We were quite lucky to have him for 4 years.

p.s. wished like crazy we didn't burn his RS in 2012 returning kicks once in a while. We would have had Marshaun and JR in same backfield in 2016 !!!!

Too bad JR didn't have a QB that was even a little bit of a threat to help open things up for him. Roberson/Coprich were a threat to score on every snap. Good times!

This is so true. Though the 2018 season, Davis started strong, then faded. But JR also had another very capable RB in Markel Smith.

But his 3 game playoff run in 2019 was beyond incredible .. 41 for 297, then 37 for 210, then 24 for 94. Even the NDSU game, he started very strong in Q1 with 7 carries for 45 yard, but rest of way just 17 carries for 49 yards .. which included 14 yard loss. Bryce was just 13 of 26 in 3 games combined .. did great job managing games and staying out of trouble for most part .. but everyone in the stadium knew JR was going to carry almost the entire load.

In one of the most memorable Redbird football games I've seen, versus South Dakota in a near blizzard in 2015, when the conditions made passing nearly impossible so everyone knew a run was coming, Coprich ran for 250 yards and 4 touchdowns.

That wasn't a bad South Dakota team. They had earlier in the season ended NDSU's long home winning streak.

Was an absolute great player. I remember early on how fast he hit the hole. His ability, combined with some pretty good o-lineman made for some great offenses.

Total stud - on the very short list of my favorite backs I got to watch in person along with Aveion Cason and James Robinson. Well deserved.

if he were little bigger he would have had a shot at next level IMO. He was a little faster than JR, but 20 lbs lighter, which had to be what gave NFL doubts about him. He was so fun to watch frustrate other defenses and he could both avoid and take hits so well for 205 lbs.

There were people on AGS who said we struck lightening getting Coprich, and it wouldn't likely happen again.

Uh .. that view didn't age well with JR coming in 2016 in RB by committee role as true FR, though got injured. But then jumping to head of class in 2017, and just got more and more dominant each year.

But Marshaun was so special to watch .. different running style that drove would be tacklers nuts.
