Lusk is probably one of the better assistants in the country. He's a good recruiter just lacks the x's and o's. I could see this being like a Moser situation where Lusk gets canned, learns behind a good coach with McDermott (Majaris) and then takes over a program again.

Majerus >>> McDermott

If not for his son, would McDermott still be Creighton's HC? Eventually Creighton has to decide if they want to be 1-and-done in the NCAAs or if McDermott can lead them higher. Is McDermott, now, able to do more than that?

In his one regular-season championship, McDermott outpaced WSU by a game, 13-5 to 12-6. He seems to me to be the coach that finishes 4th in conf.

Lusk can grow as a coach but he had something Porteer didn't - the best talent. With that talent, Lusk mightily failed. Perhaps it could have been avoided with proper cryogenic therapy.
